It consists of modified attachments which eliminate conventional Procedures of the standard model. The Semi Automatic model eliminates the conventional methods of raising & lowering of the reservoir (Leveling) bottle for the following operations.

• To fill up the Carbon Burette before the gases of combustion are let in.
• To convey the gases of combustion from Carbon Burette to Absorption vessel for absorption.
• To move the residual gases to the carbon Burette for final reading.

These operations do not involve any moving parts and are achieved by just fingertips. No additional maintenance problems are there. Time taken for determination: 3 to 4 minutes depending on the operating chemist.
